CHECK OUT THIS YEAR'S SCHEDULE

Every year the Boston area schools get together and play a tournament in South Boston at Moakley Park. It's a lot of fun, and starts the trash talking before the mammoth UVA tournament in the spring.  Sign-ups generally will start in late September or early October, check this space for updates.

It is truly one of the most fun weekends of the fall. The tournament is played in early- to mid-October while the Boston area still has a pleasant climate. Games start early in the morning and last through the afternoon. It is a great way to meet students from other law schools and develop the sense that you made the right choice when picking which school to attend.

Generally the past participants have been Harvard, Suffolk, New England, BU, Roger Williams, and of course, BC. However, recently there has been some interest from schools as far away as New York City. As this tournament grows into a miniature version of the UVA tournament, the BC Law community should be proud of their status as a bedrock participant. We have a tradition of sending three teams to the Battle of Boston, the maximum allowed. This being the case, it falls upon the 1L class to muster up participation among their ranks to keep our tradition and the reputation we have earned alive.

Enthusiastic participation is what makes this day great, not the skill level of the players. Even if you are unsure about your ability or the idea of missing a day of work, sign up and come join.  It promises to be a day you'll fondly remember when studying for exams in December as one of the reasons why law school really isn't that bad.
