Thank you all for a successful first week of games. I would like to remind everyone that alcohol is technically not allowed at the fields. However, should you take that as more of a guideline than an actual rule, please keep any alcohol in a cooler or otherwise cover it, only drink out of plastic cups and throw away empties. Keep it subtle so we don't risk losing our permit.

Check here for weather updates this weekend. It is supposed to rain for the next few days and I will post here before the scheduled start of games if the fields are unplayable.

Also, in the event that we do have games, be aware that there is BC home game at 1:00 this Saturday. You cannot park along Beacon within 4 hours before a game or you will be towed, so be aware of that. There is limited metered parking in Cleveland Circle but you are encouraged to take public transportation or carpool.

Opening Day

Hello BCLS Softballers!!

Opening Day is this Saturday, the 17th at Cassidy Playground in Cleveland Circle. The first games will begin at 8:15 AM and will run through until 1:15 PM. The full schedule is going through final touch ups now and will be posted within the next few hours.

Get excited folks, the season is almost here!

UPDATE: The full schedule as well as this weekend's games are posted now.

Be aware that there is a BC football game at 12:30 this Saturday so there will be no parking along Beacon. There are still limited metered spaces near the field but everyone is urged to find other means of transportation if at all possible.

Good day all BCLS softballers! Welcome to the brand-spanking new BCLS softball blog.

Here you will find all the information you need about the fall softball league and a brief overview of some of the other softball events that take place during the year. This is your one-stop source for your schedule, standings, power rankings, rules and everything else BC Law softball!

Also featured on this blog will be a section on the sidebar labeled "Pick Up Games". This is an area open to all comments for you, the softball heroes, to organize your own events, games, etc. outside of the scheduled events for the year. Basically, feel like playing a quick game Friday afternoon after classes? Toss up a posting in the Pick Up Games section as an easy way to organize and get playing.

Further, you will notice the links "Battle of Boston" and "UVA Tournament". These will bring you to a page that has all the information you will need about what these tournaments are, who participates in them, when they occur, why you should sign up, and when you should sign up. Pay attention to this space for updates.

Lastly, if the weather is ugly outside on a game day, CHECK THIS SPACE before heading outside. Any cancellations will be updated here immediately when they occur. This will save from having to email-bomb everyone's inbox.
